The development of Pointe Cantagrel presents an opportunity to enhance the identity of the Pôle des Langues et Civilisations. The building extends along Rue des Grands Moulins, adapting to the site's contrasting topography through the interplay of façade volumes and the treatment of the ground floors.

The façade at Pointe Cantagrel seamlessly continues from the university library’s study rooms. These spaces are set back from Rue des Grands Moulins by the insertion of a double-height volume, which serves a dual purpose: ensuring the privacy of the study rooms while allowing natural light to penetrate the underground spaces.

The seating steps are arranged in a vineyard-like configuration, integrating with the exterior staircases. Users seated on the steps experience urban activity in much the same way as neighborhood residents who rest on the stairs outside, engaging with the activities taking place inside the building.
